ProRail is a government organization that maintains the national railway network infrastructure in the Netherlands (not metro or tram) and is part of the NS Railinfratrust (Dutch railway infrastructure owner). ProRail’s total revenue amounted to approximately 1.37 billion euros in 2020. From the total revenue, 334 million euros came from usage fees, which are fees paid by railway carriers when they use the railway network. Looking at the total revenue between 2015 and 2020, it experienced a constant increase from 1.2 billion euros in 2015 to almost 1.4 billion euros in 2020.
