Highest number of new IUCD insertions among Indian couples 2019-2020, by state
From April 2019 to June 2020, the state of Gujarat had the highest number of couples who adopted Intra Uterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD) across India, with over 169 insertions per 10,000 couples. This was around 561 insertions per 10,000 couples in the previous fiscal year. The states of Haryana and Rajasthan came second and third respectively in the number of IUCD adopters.
