EDF is the market leader among customers with NHH meters and a load profile class between five and eight. As of June 2019, it served 18 percent of all customers in that segment, as well as an additional 12 percent of customers with NHH meters and a profile class of three or four.

Profile classes are load profiles representing the pattern of electricity usage by day and by year for the average customer. There are 8 profile classes of which classes 1 and 2 are for domestic premises and classes 3 to 8 are for non domestic premises. Higher classes represent higher Peak Load Factors.

According to the source, shares for customers with NHH meters (profile classes 3 and 4) are based on the number of meter points, while shares of those with NHH meters (profile classes 5-8) and HH meters are based on volume of electricity.
