In 2018, Achmea Schade had a revenue in gross written premium of approximately 855 million euros in fire and other damage to property insurances. In the Netherlands, the property, or "fire", segment covers insurances for both contents (in Dutch: inboedelverzekering) as well as buildings (in Dutch: opstalverzekering) and comes the closest to what in the United States is more commonly known as renters insurance or homeowner insurance.
