A billion-dollar affair

Founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the Italian fashion house is now well known around the world. Thanks to a widespread global presence and a strong brand expansion strategy, Dolce & Gabbana was able to reach sales worth almost 1.3 billion euros in 2017, which resulted in a turnover of approximately one billion euros.

Made in Italy abroad

Dolce & Gabbana is one of the leading companies in Italy both in the menswear and womenswear sector. However, as many other Italian fashion companies producing luxury goods, Dolce & Gabbana owes most of its earnings, and therefore success, to foreign markets. In fact, in 2016, 77 percent of the company’s turnover originated from exports.
