Number of FTE worked at KBC Group 2014-2021
KBC saw a decrease in its financial performance
In 2021, the value of assets held by KBC reached a total of approximately 340.3 billion euros. This is an increase compared to the number reached in the previous year. Additionally, the return on equity (ROE, indicating the company’s profitability) decreased in this time period. KBC Group’s ROE was 13 percent in 2021, compared to 17 percent in 2017.
How about the bank’s non-retail activities?
Financial officers (including CFOs, treasurers and finance directors at companies and financial institutions with sales of more than 500 million euros) believed KBC to be the third-most important provider of corporate banking services in Belgium and Luxembourg in 2022, behind BNP Paribas Fortis and ING Belgium. The bank’s asset management branch, however, had the highest assets under management (AUM) of asset managers coming from Belgium in 2021.
