This statistic presents the results of a survey among households across India about the distribution of childbirth types in 2013-14, based on mother's age group. For instance, the share of childbirths by C-section among women between 20 and 24 years old was about 16 percent. Normal deliveries held the majority share among women of all age groups during the survey period.
