Duration of stay in hospitals after childbirth in south India - by state 2014
This statistic presents the results of a survey among households across south Indian states about the distribution of mothers staying at hospitals after childbirth in 2013-14, by duration. For instance, the share of mothers who stayed in hospitals for less than 12 hours in Kerala was about two percent, while women in the state who had stayed for 48 hours or longer were about 93 percent during the survey period.
