Japan: newspaper circulation revenue 2021

The newspaper circulation revenue in Japan amounted to about 820 billion Japanese yen in fiscal year 2021, which constituted a decrease of around 40 billion yen compared to the previous fiscal year. A clear downward trend can be observed throughout the recent years. The newspaper circulation revenue, which is also referred to as the sales revenue, is one of the elements that make up the total newspaper revenue, which also encompasses the advertising revenue as well as other revenue.
