This statistic shows the number of entries made by temporary visitors in 2015 from the six countries effected by the 2017 travel ban to the United States, by visa type. The executive order, which was signed by President Donald Trump in January 2017, banned travelers from six Muslim-majority countries (Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen) without current visas from entering the United States. In 2015, over 49 thousand travelers from these countries entered the United States for recreational or business travel.
