India: average turn round time at Kolkata Dock System 2022

In the financial year of 2022, the average turnaround time for ships at the Kolkata Dock System in India stood at more than three days. There was a considerable improvement in the turn round time over the past 20 years; it reduced from almost 12 days in 1991 to a bit more than three days in 2022. The port sector of the South Asian country handled over 1.3 billion metric tons of cargo in 2022. A major portion of this cargo was handled by the major ports.
