Least affordable cities for backpacking in Europe 2020

According to the European Backpacker Price Index for 2020, Zurich in Switzerland was the most expensive destination for budget travelers. The average cost to stay in a cheap hostel, eating budget meals, using public transport and with limited 'budget' entertainment came to 126.53 U.S. dollars per day. In comparison, the same trip to Bucharest in Romania would have cost less than 30 dollars a day.
