Frequency at which women in the U.S. wear thongs by age 2017 Almost a fifth of U.S. women, aged from 16 to 25 years, revealed that they wore thongs almost daily as of 2017. In comparison over 85 percent of women over 51 years of age stated that they never wore thongs, showing thongs to be an undergarment favored by younger women in the United States. Briefs were chosen as the nations favored style of women’s underwear.
