Volume of chemicals on Indian national waterways FY 2011-2020
The volume of chemicals transported on national waterways across India in the fiscal years of 2020 amounted to around 541 thousand metric tons. This volume formed less than six percent of the total cargo volume. The chemical volume being transported was continuously increasing since the fiscal year of 2016.
