From 2015 to 2020, the free-to-air TV audience of the Formula One's Hungarian Grand Prix in Italy decreased significantly. In 2015, the Hungarian GP recorded a free-to-air TV audience of 4.6 million. In 2020, this figure dropped to roughly 1.3 million. On the other hand, Sky's TV audience rose overall, as the number of viewers increased from 812 thousand in 2015 to 1.3 million in 2020.
