This statistic shows the results of a survey into the impact that museums charging admissions has on spontaneous donations and secondary spending of visitors in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2016. In total 23 percent of museums stated that charging for admissions had a positive impact on spontaneous donations and 22 percent said it had a positive impact on secondary spend. This was contrary to museums that did not charge admissions, with the majority stating it had a positive impact.
