Sweden: digital channels in municipalities to reach out to residents 2016

This survey shows the most common digital channels used by municipalities to reach out to residents with information and news in Sweden in 2016. Facebook was the most popular measure as a lot of municipalities (87,4 percent) have their own Facebook pages where their share the information with their residents. However, the same share of municipalities also owned a website. Usage of newspapers seemed to be quite popular too, with 51,6 percent of municipalities using local press (without advertising), advertising in newspapers (29,6 percent) and own newspapers (16,4 percent).
