In 2019, roughly two in ten Italian travelers went on holidays to visit artistic, historical, and archaeological heritage. Data show that this was the main purpose of travel for 18 percent of Italian vacationers. Moreover, almost 18 percent of tourists organized trips in the nature, while 6.5 percent of travelers went on sport holidays in 2019.
