In 2019, hotels were by far the most popular type of travel accommodation for outbound trips among Italian travelers. Data show that 80.5 percent of outbound business trips included a hotel stay. Moreover, about four percent of outbound business trips related to a stay in rented houses or rented rooms in 2019.
