Peru: expenditure per student in basic education by level 2011-2021
The figures reveal that public spending in secondary education grew from 3.67 thousand Peruvian soles per student in 2015 to 4.85 thousand in 2021. However, the government's expenditure per student decreased both in pre-primary and primary education between 2015 and 2016, growing again in 2017. In total, the Peruvian government spent nearly 55.7 billion Peruvian soles in the education sector in 2021.
