This statistic shows the results of a survey on popular fiction book genres among women aged 50 to 74 in Finland in 2017. The most popular fiction genre in the age group was thriller, with 58 percent of the respondents stating to read literature belonging to this particular genre. The second most popular was historical fiction. 36 percent of the women aged 50 to 74 also enjoyed romantic fiction while other popular genres included humor and science fiction. Thriller and romance were among the most popular fiction genres of all age groups in Finland in 2017.
