Forecast of wind capacity added in Europe 2017 to 2024

This statistic shows the projected addition of offshore wind capacity for selected European countries for for the period from 2017 to 2020, and 2021 to 2024, in megawatts. It shows that the United Kingdom (UK) will add nearly five gigawatts of offshore wind energy capacity during the period from 2017 to 2020, more than any other European country. Both the Netherlands, as well as France, will add significantly more during the period from 2021 to 2024 compared to period from 2017 to 2020. Also noteworthy is Poland's projected addition during the second period of 498 megawatts considering no offshore wind capacity will be added during the first period.
