This statistic shows the results of a survey on the public opinion about news stories on social media websites in the United Kingdom (UK) in March 2017. During the survey, it was found that 67 percent of respondents thought that social media sites had to make sure that only true news stories were displayed on their sites, whereas 17 percent of respondents stated that social media sites had to allow all kinds of news stories to be displayed on their sites.
