In 2009, butcheries had a turnover of approximately 4.1 billion euros. By 2015, this had decreased to roughly four billion euros. The poultry butcheries on the other hand, saw the turnover increase between 2009 and 2015. Whereas the turnover in 2009 was roughly two billion euros, by 2015 this was 3.3 billion euros.
