Acne, or folliculitis, occurs when the hair follicles become blocked or inflamed. In 2000, 24 males were diagnosed with folliculitis/acne, this decreased to one the following year. In 2015, only one male was diagnosed with folliculitis/acne, this was an increase from 2014 as there were no diagnoses of folliculitis/acne among males or females.
