Out of all countries, England had the largest number of inhabitants, with a total of roughly 55.6 million inhabitants of which women made up the largest share at around 28 million inhabitants. By comparison, Northern Ireland had the smallest number of inhabitants at a total of 1.87 million. Women made up the largest share of inhabitants in all four countries, with the greatest difference in distribution recorded in England.
