According to the survey, 40 percent of respondent believed that the United Kingdom leaving the European Union was a bad thing for the UK itself. The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union with a referendum on the issue in 2016; a majority voted to leave the European Union. On 19 June 2017, negotiations to leave the European Union started.
