Landline phones: preference of use over cell phones in the UK 2017 This statistic illustrates the share of opinions regarding the use of landline phones instead of mobile phones in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2017. The highest share of respondents, which corresponded to 30 percent, neither agreed nor disagreed with the statement. On the other hand, the second highest share of respondents, which corresponded to 22 percent, totally disagreed with using landline phones rather than mobile phones. Although the highest share of respondents neither agreed nor disagreed with the statement, the main method for making and receiving telephone calls was using mobile phones, and landline phones came in second place. In addition, many people agreed that landline phones are outdated.
