That year, the airport of Keflavik accounted for approximately 57 thousand metric tons of the total international air cargo handled at Icelandic airports. Furthermore, the amount of mail handled at the airport amounted to roughly two thousand metric tons. In comparison, the amounts of international freight handled at the airports of Reykjavik and Akureyri were much lower.
