Panama: birth rate 2011-2017 Birth rate — the number of births per thousand people — in Panama has been decreasing lately. In 2017, Panamanian birth rate was of around 18.6 per every 1,000 inhabitants, down from 19.7 births per 1,000 inhabitants recorded in 2011. Meanwhile, the number of newborns in the urban regions of Panama has been oscillating throughout past years.
