The area planted with organically cultivated avocado in Mexico increased exponentially in recent years. In 2019, this figure added up to 9.6 thousand hectares, more than four times the area reported in 2015. Nevertheless, organic cultivation of avocadoes was minor compared with the overall planted area dedicated to regular avocadoes in Mexico.
