The Caribbean: share of people online by country or territory 2020

As of January 2020, the Dutch territory of Aruba had the highest internet penetration rate in the Caribbean as 97 percent of Arubans were online. As of that point in time, the sovereign state with the highest percentage of citizens online in the region was the Bahamas with a 85 percent rate. Meanwhile in Haiti around one third (33 percent) of the population had access to the internet. Cuba and the Dominican Republic are the Caribbean countries with the largest numbers of active social media users.
