Italy: reasons not to vote 2017 This statistic illustrates the reasons why Italians would choose not to vote if there were a general election in 2017. According to the survey results, the majority of respondents (43 percent) who would not vote don't have any political party they identify with, while 13 percent of them doubt that their vote would effect a significant change. About one in ten non-voters (11 percent) simply lack an interest in politics.
