The average transaction price for the purchase of new residential properties varied greatly among France's major cities between 2016 and 2023. By 2023, Paris had the highest average transaction price for new dwellings of approximately 14,900 euros per square meter. This price was more than double that of purchasing new residential properties in Marseille or Lyon. This trend was observed throughout the time between 2016 and 2023.
