Survey on importance of organic food in schools and nurseries in Finland 2015-2017 This statistic shows the result of a survey on the perceived importance of organic food in schools and nurseries in Finland from 2015 to 2017. As of 2017, 16 percent considered offering organic food option for children at schools or nursery schools very important. The corresponding figure for people who found organic alternatives not at all important was 10 percent. In Finland, children are typically offered at least one meal during the day in nursery schools and all levels of the compulsory education. Meat and vegetarian alternatives are offered, as well as special meal options for children with allergies.
