This statistic shows the frequency of time that public school teachers set aside during class for read-aloud and/or independent reading in the United States in 2016, by teacher's status. In 2016, about 56 percent of U.S. teachers who taught reading/literacy in public schools planned time every day for read-aloud and/or independent reading.
