Georgia-based quick service restaurant (QSR) chain Chick-fil-A accounted for systemwide sales of approximately 12.8 billion U.S. dollars in its native country of the United States in 2020, up from 11 billion the previous year.

Specializing in chicken sandwiches, Chick-fil-A was by far the leading quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States - the company's systemwide sales in the U.S. came to more than double its globally famous competitor Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). Comparatively KFC’s U.S. sales only amounted to a little over than four and a half billion U.S. dollars in 2019.
Customer satisfaction
The company’s success also reflected in its American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) score. Perhaps surprisingly for a QSR it seems like much of Chick-fil-A's success comes from a high level of customer satisfaction. With a score of 83 out of 100, Chick-fil-A's score was eight points higher than the average for all quick-service restaurants – this was also the highest score of any QSR in the index in 2021.
