As of September 2023, about the same share of respondents prefer Erna Solberg of the Conservative Party and the current Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre as Prime Minister of Norway. The Conservative Party leader was leading the poll through much of 2023, but lost parts of her support after a scandal was uncovered where her husband had not been fully disclosed his activity on the stock market while she was Prime Minister. Solberg was Prime Minister of the country from 2013 to October 2021, when Jonas Gahr Støre of the Labour Party became the Scandinavian country's new Prime Minister after the parliamentary election. One fourth of the respondents did not have a preferred candidate.
