Main channels for discovering new music in Finland 2020

As of 2020, the most common way of discovering new music in Finland was hearing it first on the radio. Almost 40 percent of the Finnish respondents found new music by listening to the radio, followed by 15 percent hearing it on YouTube, and 13 percent discovering music via playlists or as recommendations on a streaming service.

In 2020, 90 percent of the Finns subscribed to a digital music service. The most popular digital music platforms in Finland were YouTube and Spotify.
