Finland: channels for discovering new music 2022

As of 2022, the most common way of discovering new music in Finland was hearing it first on the radio. Almost 28 percent of the Finnish respondents found new music by listening to the radio, followed by 13 percent hearing it on YouTube, and 11 percent discovering music via playlists or as recommendations on a streaming service or social media.

In 2022, 91 percent of the Finns subscribed to a digital music service. The most popular digital music platforms in Finland were YouTube and Spotify.
