Time required to achieve unification between South and North Korea 2013-2022
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2022, about 32 percent of South Korean respondents stated that they though unification with North Korea was not possible. Around 25 percent believed that unification would not be possible for 30 years or more. The share of respondents who thought unification would be possible within five or 10 years has declined over time, while more people have become skeptical about a possible unification happening anytime soon or at all.
