Solid biomass energy primary production in France 2006-2021, by type
In 2021, France produced around 130 terawatt hours of primary solid biomass energy. This figured increased since 2006, when it was less than 100 terawatt hours. Over 95 percent of the total produced biomass energy was always in the form of wood energy, while primary solid biomass energy from agricultural and agrifood residues was marginal.
