It was found, that Nashville was the leading set meter market in terms of TV news consumption, as the average weekly per person news minutes in the city amounted to 603 (10 hours and 3 minutes) in the measured period. Out of this, 219 news minutes were attributed to local TV news.

Figures were converted to minutes. The source provides the following information on the methodology: "Set Metered Markets: Set Meter Markets utilize meters to collect the set tuning data, i.e., what is being watch 365 days a year. Viewership within those homes is then married through “viewer assignment” to national and local people meter homes in the same time zone to impute demographics. Demographics are available for all 12 measurement periods. "
