Mexico: public spending on violence containment 2021, by area
The Mexican government spent approximately 314.55 billion Mexican pesos on violence containment in 2021. The largest share of expenditure went to the military, which accounted for 166.54 billion pesos or 53 percent of the government's direct spending on violence.
