U.S. Amazon share of total apparel sales from 2011-2016
This statistic presents the apparel sales of Amazon as a percentage of total apparel sales in the United States from 2011 to 2016. According to the findings, Amazon has recorded a steady increase in the total share of sales in the apparel market. In 2012, the online platform held 1.6 percent of the entire share of the apparel sales market; however, by 2015 that value had doubled by reaching 3.2 percent. As of 2016, Amazon accounted for 3.7 percent of sales of the entire U.S. apparel market.
