Italy: distribution of foreign tourist expenditure by continent 2017
This statistic illustrates the distribution of foreign tourists' expenditure in Italy in the period from January to September 2017, broken down by continent of residence. According to the study, the majority of revenues was generated from the expenditure of visitors from EU-28 countries, which represented 58 percent of the total expenditure by foreign tourists. By contrast, the expenditure of tourists from Africa and Oceania combined made up five percent of the total expenditure.
