Share of taxes per 20-cigarette pack in Finland 2022
As of July 2022, tobacco tax made up 72 percent of the total price of a pack of 20 cigarettes in Finland. Value-added tax accounted for nearly 20 percent, and net price for nine percent of the total amount. At the time of the survey, the price for a pack of cigarettes in Finland was around 8.9 euros. Tobacco taxation in Finland is high in comparison to other EU countries.
