This statistic displays the results of a survey on how young people in secondary school get tobacco products in Finland in 2016. At the time of the survey, 83 percent of respondents got their cigarettes through friends. Nearly 20 percent also stated to take cigarettes from home without permission. The most common product to be purchased online were liquids. In Finland, the sale of tobacco for individuals under 18 years of age is prohibited. Similarly to strong alcohol, tobacco advertising is not allowed.
