The share of urban population in Nepal increased by 0.5 percentage points (+2.33 percent) compared to the previous year. With 21.9 percent, the share thereby reached its highest value in the observed period. Notably, the share continuously increased over the last years.
A country's urbanization rate refers to the share of the total population living in an urban setting.
