In 2021, the number of employees in the finance and insurance sectors in Brazil reached roughly 1.4 million, the largest value over the whole period under investigation. In 2020, the number of employees in these sectors was approximately 100,000 less. The increased employee base can be explained by the rising number of companies in these sectors in recent years.
