This statistic show the percentage of major and minor residential planning application decisions granted in England from 2005/2006 to 2018/2019. The highest percentage of granted residential property decisions (for major developments) was in 2012/2013, 2013/2014 and 2018/2019, with 82 percent in both years. Similarly the highest percentage of minor dwelling applications granted was in 2013/2014 with 76 percent. Overall the percentage of planning applications granted rose during the time period under observation.

Minor residential developments are classified as planning applications for dwellings where the number of residential units to be constructed are between one and nine.
